Some visitors come once. Jerri McBay keeps coming back, and she keeps bringing people with her.
Jerri runs Let’s Travel!, a Texas-based group that organizes day trips, tours, and longer getaways for friends and travelers across the region. Since Belóved Gallery opened the doors to Akiane: The Early Years in Marble Falls back in 2023, she has been one of the steadiest faces we’ve seen. Charter bus after charter bus. Friend after friend.
What pulls her back is the alcove. The small, quiet space that holds Prince of Peace.
“Being in the alcove with the ‘Prince of Peace’ is indescribable. I wanted to share it with my friends.”
That’s the thing about Jerri. She doesn’t just visit. She invites. And every group she brings walks out a little quieter, a little more reflective, a little more connected to one another and to the story Akiane painted at eight years old.
We see this often at Belóved Gallery. Families, church groups, longtime friends, organized tours like Jerri’s. The art moves people, but something else happens too. People experience it together, and that shared moment tends to stay with them long after they’ve left Marble Falls.
Watch Jerri share her story in the short video above.
