빛
우주는 무수한 모습으로 우리 앞에 펼쳐진다. 그러나 빛이 없으면 우주는 텅 빈 곳일 뿐이다. 멀리서 보면, 세상은 밤의 반딧불처럼 스쳐 가는 빛에 불과하다. 멀리서 보면, 우리의 삶은 너무도 하찮아 보일지 모른다. 우리의 가장 큰 승리와 투쟁조차 덧없어 보일 수 있다. 그러나 우리 한 사람 한 사람이 없다면 우주는 자라날 수 없다. 우리의 영원한 길은 서로가 지나가기를 기다려야 하는 좁은 길이다. 모든 무한의 가능성으로 이어지는 다리다. 이 다리 위에는 언제나 우리를 기다리는 분이 있다.
언제나. 그분은 빛이다. 그 빛이 내줄수록 더욱 풍성해진다. 그 빛이 닿는 것은 모두 깨어난다.
이 다리 위에서, 모든 숨결과 심장은 환영받고 품에 안긴다. 가끔 그 빛이 시간을 초월할 때, 모든 기억은 하나의 완전한 메아리로 모인다. 그 순간 우리는 모두 이 소리를 들을 수 있다. “영원은 그리 길지 않다.”

The Light
We can see the universe in so many ways. . . But when not illuminated, it looks all empty. From far away, our world, like a firefly at night, appears lit only momentarily. From far away, our life might appear completely insignificant. Even our biggest victories and struggles may seem meaningless. Yet without any of us, the universe could not grow. Our eternal path is a narrow path where we need to wait for others to pass us. It is a bridge to all infinite possibilities. On this bridge, someone always waits for us.
Always. It is the Light. The more the Light gives…the more is left. Whatever the Light touches is awakened.
On this bridge, every breath and every heartbeat is welcomed and embraced. And once in a while…when the Light transcends time, all the memories become one complete echo, and we all can hear “Eternity is not that long.
